Would you accept a drink from a taxi driver late at night if you were by yourself?

I have been a bit perplexed (and of course saddened) by the recent reports that so many women have been d by the taxi driver who gave spiked alcohol to lone women who were trying to get home late at night. But then I was thinking, there's no way that I would accept a drink from someone I didn't know if I was by myself in a car, it seems a bit obvious to me. I'm sorry if I sound callous in any way. But what do you think?
