How do I deal with the jitters when trying to talk to cute girls?

It sometimes feels really awkward to me but I know that person is just a human like myself. Still the immediate chemical reaction of the pretty face is like paralysis so usually I'll just wave to the person but won't really be pushy as far as getting attention goes. That's cuz I'm the platonic type more than the romantic type. Yep!
