My sound wont work Help!!!?

ok one day i didnt want my computer to break so i was unistalling stuff and now i just went to my control panel and looked under sounds and audio device and when i clicked on it it comes up and when i look under the tab volume it doesnt let me control anything its not clickabled i cont use anything and if i tell my grandma she'll kill me and im not kidding because i broke so many computers so i really neeed to no why i cant click anything under the tab volume
