What do you think of my writing style?

You use quite a few metaphors and similes. While these are good things, you do take it to the excess, and it detracts from the actual piece itself. Beautiful writing is a good thing, and you do write very poetically, but no one wants to read an entire page describing the falling snow. I think your writing could be improved if you concentrated for a while on creating beautiful plots and engaging characters, as these are just as important as lovely descriptions.
