How do you know if your prosperity is determined by God or the devil?

Who is kept in the thoughts or workings of the prosperity is the question. Not what it is, it's how it's done and for what purpose. There's influences of God in some rich people and influences of Satan and Earthly things. What I mean is as long as you beleive God got you to where you are, and all the material things are blessings from God and are just materials which are what they are rather than idols. Example, Money is not root of evil, the love of money is.
