Scared of the PSAT!? ?

I am going to be taking the PSAT this week in school, and i'm really nervous and confused. I'm not sure what I should do to prepare for this test. I have also heard that many colleges will base their decisions on you according to your PSAT score (is this true, or myth?) So has anyone taken this test, and what is the best way to prepare for it?
